Hello and welcome to Build Expo Online.
Many of us dream of doing our bit for the environment, but for most this involves no more than conscientious recycling or at best retro-fitting the family abode. For a lucky few, however, building a sustainable home from scratch is a reality.
Tim Adams of F2 Design is one such individual. Boasting years of experience in sustainable home design, Tim (who is vice president of the Building Designers Association of Victoria) was able to use his own home as a test case for innovative low carbon building techniques. This issue offers a sneak preview of the insightful lecture Tim has planned as part of the Sustainability on Show feature at the upcoming Master Builders' Building & Home Improvement Expo.
This is also the last issue before the expo kicks off on 9 July. With hundreds of inspiring building and renovation ideas and brands on show, as well as a host of educational displays and seminars, I for one can't wait to check them out in person. If you're a home improvement or building professional, or you're planning to overhaul your house, the expo is the one event you should not miss this year.
So book your tickets now, and here's hoping I bump into you at Melbourne Exhibition Centre!
As always at Build Expo Online we're keen to hear your news and views, so please feel free to contact me at belindas@aec.net.au
